He was 16 when he entered Morgan State, a 6-foot-3, 220-pound tackle and the youngest player ever to dress for the Bears. By graduation in 1953, Brown was a two-time All-American and a three-time All-Central Intercollegiate Athletic Association choice. A 27th-round draft pick by the New York Giants, the Pro Football Hall of Famer played 13 NFL seasons, made first-team All-Pro six times and was Lineman of the Year in 1956. Go BEARS!!!

Growing the Future, Leading the World!

Loring Cornish can re-create his world into a shimmering mosaic wonderland. He grew up in Reservoir Hill and studied at Morgan State University. Loring established himself as an artist, without conventional training. His distinct style and passion for mosaics is visible on his two row houses in Reservoir Hill … covered with multi-colored tiles and glass shards.

His work has appeared in shows and museums across the country - the American Visionary Art Museum and the Jewish Museum of Maryland. Selections from his exhibit "In Each Other's Shoes" are being displayed at the Banneker-Douglass Museum in Annapolis.
